Automatic checks with the Payroll Auditor
Together with our clients, we have developed the Payroll Auditor: your personal assistant for all checks on the payroll process. The Payroll Auditor performs more than 130 standard checks, preventing errors in payroll administration and reducing the time spent on checking payroll.
The standard recruitment and selection process involves numerous small administrative tasks, from setting up vacancies to preparing for a candidate’s first day. However, with AFAS, you can manage everything from a single, centralized location. By integrating OutSite (your own Working At-site) and InSite (your employee portal), you can build a fully customized application portal. This allows candidates to enter their own information, while the system automatically interacts with them. We call this Sollicitant Self Service. Furthermore, when you have a new vacancy, you can use the job alert feature to notify the appropriate candidate(s).
With AFAS, you can also access comprehensive management information to monitor the recruitment process effectively. This feature enables you to stay on top of the recruitment process, allowing you to identify areas for improvement and optimize the recruitment process.

Inflow
When you have a suitable candidate for a position, the process of hiring begins. The manager starts this process in InSite. By using profiles and workflows, the process takes place entirely controlled and digital. Our ID check through Valicare (optional) ensures that everything goes smoothly.
After hiring the employee, you want them to be successful as soon as possible. For this, the employee needs tools such as a laptop or phone, but also an education program. By setting up workflows intelligently, all of these tasks are automatically started. This way, your new employee gets off to a flying start!
Throughflow
From the first day the employee is hired, they work on their career. In AFAS software, you record everything. This results in the necessary management insights. You can easily manage:

Outflow

Within InSite, there is an ESS/MSS functionality to resign. The workflow behind it ensures that the personnel administration is also informed of the employee’s departure to arrange the final salary payment.
Career advancement or talent development is an important part of effective talent management. Identify the competencies of employees and check which ones they need for their job, or see if their current competencies can be adapted or developed to suit another role. InSite provides a knowledge portal that contains information about courses, training programs, and diplomas. All the courses and training programs you have completed will be listed in your employee file, along with a certificate of participation or a diploma. To further develop your talent, you can also register for new courses or training programs via the portal.
Competency Management (performance review)
Personal development can be guided through competency management, which defines the competencies required for each position. In addition, you can use performance reviews to ensure that personal development is documented in the employee’s file.

Absence is related to being absent due to illness, pregnancy, or a work-related accident. The process begins with reporting sick and ends with a return-to-work notification. The progression of absence is managed through workflow tasks.
With AFAS Software, absence management becomes a fully automated process through InSite. Based on an absence report, tasks are automatically initiated using alerts. These tasks are then picked up by the manager or company doctor. All tasks related to the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (WVP) are included.

It is possible to block data that is no longer in use and delete files from employee records and applicant profiles. Signals
In InSite, HR employees receive notifications when a certificate, training, or employment contract is about to expire. You also receive a notification when an action needs to be taken for the Work and Income (Capacity for Work) Act. You can link signals to a workflow. When a workflow task is completed, a notification can automatically come in for an employee or department. You can also create a task directly from a notification or generate a notification at a specified time.

The cloud platform ensures that the software is quickly and reliably accessible, always up-to-date, and backups are regularly taken care of. You use AFAS software through the cloud. We take care of system management, optimal security, and daily backups. You remain the owner of your data.
Working with AFAS Online means that collective labor agreement updates, new versions, patches, and legal changes are automatically installed for you. This often happens at night or on weekends at a pre-announced time. This way, you are not only up-to-date with your software, but also with laws and regulations.
Secured platform
AFAS is committed to ensuring the security of the platform on a daily basis. The AFAS Online cloud platform is therefore certified to ISO 27001:2013 and ISAE 3402 type II.
In addition, the platform is regularly tested with an Attack & Penetration test. The data center, connection, and data management are under strict supervision. This way, you can be sure that your business data is securely stored in the cloud. The data center is located in the Netherlands and is subject to Dutch legislation.
Expanding the software to ERP
The AFAS software is available in two versions: the HRM & Payroll solution or our complete ERP suite. In the ERP suite, in addition to HRM & Payroll, the rest of your business processes come together: Financial, CRM, Procurement, Order management, Subscriptions and Projects.
